AWWA’s Help A Child Programme

AWWA’s Help A Child  began as a class assignment but has turned into much more than that, and we need your help to help make our dream a reality. Our goal is to collect as many arts and crafts materials as possible so that we can take the children can enjoy the fun and enriching activities we have planned out for them.

    As you may realize this is a very ambitious project and we can’t do it alone, that is why we are asking your store to please help and support this great cause. We are in need of materials such as construction paper, glitter, liquid glue, glue sticks, ribbon, markers, crayons, and scissors, toys etc. If you are not able to donate any materials a monetary donation would also be greatly appreciated. Any contribution helps, you would be helping to bring smiles to many kid’s faces.

Proposal for Orphans Home:

 AWWA (Affus Woman Welfare Association) is having  a Vision  to help the  orphans, with AWWA there are more then 200 registered orphans.  according to that vision till now we are struggling  to get support  for these orphans. Right now   U.K Donors has come forward to  support 32 orphans education up to 14 years of age of the child .  there are few  children’s  who don’t have both the parents. right now  AWWA is planning to start  an orphanage with 10 to 15  children’s right know we don’t have any building , we have proposal to start orphans home in this year. All the proposed children will be brought to the Orphans Home and compulsory Education will be provided upto class VII (Upper Primary) . After completion of Class VII Children those who are re interested will be sent to High School and for the interested candidates vocational trainings will be given. Children attending school will be kept in the orphanage  Home till they complete school final and thereafter will be sent out for College Education.

For Vocational Courses children after completing Class VII will be selected and trained. After  successful completion will take the responsibility of finding placements for them. It has been planned to assist children to start production units on co-operative basis. Some of the trained children may be engaged in the Home itself in its “training cum production centre”. For initial investment if necessary local assistance will be mobilized from Banks and other sources to start income and employment generation units. However by keeping “self reliance” in view the programmes and placements will be planned. During their stay in the orphanage  Home all their needs will be met food, clothing, shelter, education and all other necessities including medical aid and health care.
